Project 1: Conservation Mini Symposium

This project will require students to conduct a ‘mini-symposium’ that will discuss issues in relation to architectural conservation. This project will require students to conduct research and getting information based on topics given to them. This exercise is going to be a platform for the students to express or critique on issues regarding architectural conservation in Malaysia. On top of that, this task will be able to give more knowledge to the students and raise their interest and awareness of architectural conservation mainly in Malaysia.

Project 2A: Proposal for Adaptive Reuse Report
​
This project will require students to propose a potential new usage for an existing old historical building. It will require students to investigate and observe the practices and approaches to architecture conservation in Malaysia. Students may use previously measured drawings exercise as their building for this project and propose the most suitable new usage of the building by taking into consideration on the site context, historical significance, surrounding culture, building defects and any form of architectural detailing on that particular chosen building.

Project 2B: Presentation Slides
​
